Halloween fun :)

Well we had an different Halloween. Lance took Quentin to the river with him and my dad. Karlie spent the night with my mom on Friday night. I hung out with friends at a fun Halloween party. I made my mask and Karlie's for Halloween. Q had no costume.( We'll get back to that next year). Karlie, my aunt, her kids, and I went to one of the Grade Schools for a Halloween Carnival. Halloween night I took Karls around our neighborhood to get some candy and use out of her costume. That was our Halloween in a nutshell lol.

Q wasn't here but I couldn't help but post these pics :)

My Favorite Trip !

These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things new challenge is up !! Our 8th Challenge!!!!!! WOW how time flies!!! What has been your favorite trip? Mine was a trip with the kids and my Sister to Pismo Beach. It had it's rough moments but the chance for the kids to go to the beach (Q's first time ) was great!! It's funny we only live 45 min. from San Diego's beaches. We take a 6 hour trip to see one LOL.

I used a canvas this time. I used Gloss heavy Gel with Glimmer mist to create the background. (Glacier, Jazz Blue,Sea Glass, PineCone, and Coffee Shop) PP used Graphic 45, bingo card, mask, clock chipboard and beach day card Tattered Angels, AC nutmeg thickers. Thank You for taking a look. I hope everyone joins in on the challenge. I can't wait to see everyone's creations. I am so happy to see so many people joining in :)

P.S. Some of you wanted more details on the stained glass and other parts of the book, on my last post. I should have something up in a few weeks :) Thank You for your generous words. I am so fond of the project I'm addicted :) If you would like give me your emails(kept secret) I can send you some tips :) Hugs All HAPPY HALLOWEEN :)

Love Book

I made this book for the second Challenge over at Project 52 I loved this challenge. I made this out of an old book. I glued all of the pages together. and cut out a shadow box into the book. I also cut the same out of the cover. I made a faux stained glass window. Created the heart scene on the inside. I colored Prima's eLine Pearls with Alcohol inks to match my project. The flowers on the front are Prima as well. I used paints and glimmer mist to distress the cover and inside. If you would like more details on this let me know. Hugs all :D Thank You for all of your wonderful comments.

Pencil Lines and The Next Step Join Together........

This week The Next Step Design Team members joined Pencil Lines Challenge Blog to bring you some great and new ideas to use when scrapbooking .... The Sketch was fun and the the ideas we used over at TNS were fun and "Sweet"

Here is the Sketch for this month on Pencil Lines...

Here is the LO I made based on the sketch :)

On my LO I used MMBI PP, I doodle the white background paper in the center, AC Thickers for the title,Tattered Angels on the cardboard and the white background,Prima Flowers, alcohol inks, and I used Making Memories trim. TFL :)

I also included something "sweet" I used a couple pieces of PEZ candy to add color. This months challenge at The Next Step is to add "Tricks and Treats to your page. Give it a try, try using a candy rapper of foil as an embellishment. Or stick the candy directly on the page.

I hope to see you guys challenge yourselves on both sites. And I can't wait to see what you create. :)

New Canvas

Well I had the art bug this week. I made two canvases one you have to wait to see and I have one you can see now. I joined in on the Challenge 1 over at Project 52. It was a lot of fun.

For the background I mixed paint and Gel Medium to build some texture. Then over that I sprayed it with Pine Cone glimmer Mist,The next step I took Tim Holtz Picket Fence crackle paint to the outside edges and mixed around the center. Then I distressed it with some walnut ink and a little more pine cone and iridecent gold glimmer mist. Then I stitched through some copper wire through the canvas. I made the wings out of Copic Markers and Glimmer Mist. The frame around my words is also Tattered angels. It has Pine cone and Cinder on it. Then I sanded it. I stamped my title. The butterflies I punched then colored. I used Twigs and dried leaves as well.

Thanks for looking :) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)

A few Fun Projects :)

I joined in on AMM Birthday Crop this weekend. And I did a couple of their challenges. You'll notice that I was in a brown and teal phase this weekend lol.

Ok there is a little ghost story attached to this pic. You can't see it very well here, but on my printed copy of the picture I took. The circled figure looks like a little girl running. In clothes that look like the 1800s. Down the little dirt road from where I grew up, there is a small cemetery. All of the original founders and families of the area have been buried there. From the time when the Gold Rush and wagon trail days, where families would travel for days and the hardships of life were at their highest. Let me know what you think lol. I thought I would bring it up since the spooky season of Halloween is coming up.

I also made a few cards for Lance to send to his Family. I usually don't make cards. I was kind of relaxing. :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Thank You for stopping by and for your comments :) Hugs
